Arrange ferns,leaves or other greenery in the vase to from a base for the flowers. The leaves from a grid that should hold the flowers in place. Clip thorns off rose to make it easier to insert them into the leaves. Start by laying leaves nearly horizontally on the lip of the vase. Then insert some in the center that are more vertical. Make sure all stems are in water. See how the stems are criss-crossed to make a secure place to insert flowers. Add a few spring of a second type of green for interest, then begin adding the roses. Place 6 or 7 roses at a 40-degree angle around the lip of the vase, then add a few standing up the center. Keep adding roses in the center area to fill in any blank spaces. Insert your "filler" flowers in any blank area between the roses. In addition, we've also added a few other tiny sprigs of accent flowers for more texture.
