CdS nanostructures were grown on TiO2 nanorods by SILAR method. The product is composed of different density of nanoparticles and nanowires depend on number of cycles. This device is applied as photoanode in solar cell. Our results showed that order of recombination are almost the same for all samples. However, traps distribution parameter is lower for a sample with lower density of nanoparticles and nanowires. This sample showed highest efficiency, electron life time, open circuit voltage, and short circuit current. CdS morphology is effective on solar cell characteristics due to traps distribution parameter or traps distribution density variation. Finally, we proposed a combination of CdS nanoparticles and nanowires composition which shows a promising view for solar cell industry
