In the restriction group, one patient, who had a negative Dix–
Hallpike test after her/his initial treatment, was found to have
nystagmus after the Dix–Hallpike maneuver during the follow-up
examination on day 15. In addition, two patients developed
recurrent symptoms during the 1–90-day period (on days 10 and 65, respectively). Thus, early recurrence occurred in 3 (8.1%) of the
37 successfully treated patients in the restriction group.
