tructured attitude into four components or dimensions: affective, related to positive feelings towards statistics; cognitive, as the perception of one’s capacity for knowledge and thinking skills in statistics; the value, as the usefulness, the relevance and perceived value of statistics in common life, personally and professionally, and finally, the component of difficulty, which focuses on the perception of statistics as a subject, even if the student can recognize its usefulness (component value), and have interest towards it (affective component) and think that they have enough skill and knowledge (cognitive component) and still consider the subject to be easy or difficult.
