One way to determine the answer is by graphing the three functions on the same coordinate plane. Notice that as x increases, the exponential function will eventually surpass both the linear and quadratic functions.
Notice also that the linear function intersects both the exponential and quadratic functions twice. The method of identifying these intersection points is called solving a system of equations by graphing.
In this lesson, we will compare linear, exponential, and quadratic models and solve systems of equations.
