The modeling framework used in this study consists of a semiarid specific watershed model, KINEROS2, and two data preprocessing programs: (1) the GIS-based Automated Geospatial Watershed Assessment tool (AGWA) to estimate the geometric model element attributes (area, slope, mean flow length), model element spatial configuration (e.g., how flow is routed from one model element to the next), and a priori model element parameter values, and (2) the AMBER algorithm that performs the Z-R conversion. Each component is briefly described below.
