Summary:
All employees will have a review from their direct manager. The review will utilize the form attached. The purpose of the review is to recap performance over the previous year, and to align on goals & objectives, as well as development opportunities for the coming year. It is also a chance to share your personal career aspirations with your manager.
Assuming you & your manager are communicating regularly, the review is a punctuation mark in an ongoing conversation. It should not be a source of stress, fear or concern. Topics for discussion in the review should not be a surprise for you or for your manager.
DON'T PANIC.
I will arrange some information & training sessions next week and the week after for both managers and individual contributors and will be available for individual support as needed.
Forms:
Please find following a link to the formal performance & career review (PCR) form we will be using going forward. This is provided by LVMH, and is a global form for all companies within the LVMH Group - not just Sephora.

The PDF is attached, but we have created the googledoc for you to use if you prefer (thank you Faz!). Please make a copy of the document for your own review, and share with your manager when you have completed it. A final version will need to be signed and submitted at the completion of the process.
Process:
Take a look at the form, in conjunction with looking at the training material to be found here: http://lvmh-individual-review.com
Think about your goals for 2015 and think about how to summarize them.
Think about what your objectives will be for 2016 (they will be the basis for your next PCR in Jan 2017).
After you have attended a briefing you may finalise your submissions.
We will confirm with each employee who will conduct their review.
The deadline for completion of reviews conversations is Feb 5th, although by exception that deadline may be extended one further week. I fully understand that this is a very busy time, but this process is not one we control.
Your review conversation should take anywhere between and hour and a couple of hours, and you should schedule the time with your manager.
Reviews should start to take place only after you have attended a briefing / training session, so w/c 18th Jan. However, preparation can start now.
Your PCR form is a formal document which is kept as part of your employee record. It is important to respect the process and to remember this document may be read by future managers for years to come.
The process is CONFIDENTIAL - discussions and ratings are personal, and should be respected as such. It is important to understand that under company guidelines, approximately 70% of employees will be rated as "Achieves Objectives". This is a good rating.
Many thanks for your co-operation in this important and valuable process - any questions or feedback, please see me.
Many thanks,
Eleanor
