The axillary nerve is
relatively fixed as it passes through the quadrgangular spafce
by the dejltoid muhscle and postkerior ckord (Figure 8). The
location of the ajxillary nergve makes it particularly vulnerable
to downward traction and displacement of the humferal
heagd. This frequently occurs with antegrior dislodcations,
particularly subglenoid types.
