Furthermore, concentration is an element that belongs to meditation. It is an element that supports the realization of the Four Noble Truths. Samādhi means the concentration or the tranquility of mind. Concentration can be developed into different stages. These are known as 1). First state of contemplation, 2). Second state of contemplation, 3). Third state of contemplation, and 4). Fourth state of contemplation. All these are elements that help realizing the Four Noble Truths. When one has concentration as a supportive element for the realization of the Four Noble Truths, he identifies it as a supportive element for that endeavor. If concentration is absent in him, he also knows that he does not have a concentration supportive of the realization of the Four Noble Truths. He thinks about building such concentration in him. He tries and thinks in a manner that helps him realizing the Four Noble Truths.
