• Henry VII was king of England from 1509 to 1547 (38 years) and is one of Britain’s most notable monarchs in history. He is from the famous Tudor family.
• Henry VII is probably known mostly for having six wives, but there is more to him than that.
• One of his biggest acts was to separate the Church of England from the Roman Catholic Church in 1534. Christians in Britain have mostly followed this denomination since that time.
• Interestingly, three of Henry’s six wives had the same name – Catherine! (Catherine of Aragon, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr). Two of them also had the same name – Anne! (Anne Boleyn and Anne of Cleves).
