Stora Enso is a global pulp and paper manufacturer with approximately 27,000 employees in more than 35 countries. Stora Enso is one of the biggest forestry companies in the world, with the annual sales totaling about EUR 10 billion in 2014. Stora Enso produces paper for print media and office use; packaging products for consumer goods and industrial applications; wood-based products for building, construction and living; and biomaterials for paper, board and tissue production.
Stora Enso has a 2,500-hectare agroforestry plantation in the Savannakhet and Saravane provinces in Southern Laos. The company has started wood harvesting operations in 2015. In addition to domestic marketing and sales, the company is exporting eucalypt wood for customers in Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces in the Vietnamese North Central Coast region.
