After yet another successful, and rewarding, workout, you begin your way down the hallways of the gym back to your favorite machine in the building. Even after putting in so much effort, you’ve yet to finish – you still have to work every muscle, after all. However, as you walk down the halls, breath still heavy and feeling the sweat drip off your brow, you pause, taking a few sniffs. Once you’re out of the gym and into somewhat fresher air, you smell something, and it smells rank. Smelling around a bit, you lift an arm and whiff your pit – it’s you! Maybe, for once, you should actually have a wash; as you are now, the monsters would smell you long before they’d see you.
You’re familiar enough with the layout of the building to know that the showers are connected with the locker room. You make your way there easily – the gym is surprisingly empty for this hour, with only a handful of other people around using some of the machines. You make your way to the lockers first, to remove your scale-mail armor, stripping down to nothing, and grabbing a towel to wrap around your body. You don’t really expect anyone to be there in the showers before you, but the sound of running water as you approach tells you otherwise.
