AIA incorporate green standards as an integral part of the design concept for our real estate development projects. This ensures that environmental principles are ‘built in’ and not added as an afterthought.
Therefore, the key buildings we own across the region are awarded Gold or Silver certification by LEED*, world renown authority on green building certification:
- HONG KONG: AIA Central -The 1st office building awarded LEED Silver certification under the category of Existing Buildings, Operations & Maintenance in Hong Kong in 2012.
- CHINA: One AIA Financial Centre in Foshan (completed in 2013) - The 1st office building to achieve LEED Gold certification under the category of Core & Shell in Foshan. Two AIA Financial Centre (under development, scheduled to complete in 2015) is also expected to receive LEED Gold certification under the same category.
- THAILAND: AIA Capital Centre (completed in 2014) and AIA Sathorn Tower (under development, scheduled to complete in 2015) in Bangkok – Expected to be certified LEED Gold under the category of Core & Shell.
- PHILIPPINES: The Philam Life Centre in Cebu (under development, scheduled to complete in 2016) – Expected to be awarded LEED Silver certification under the category of Core & Shell.
