METHOD
Participants
Initially, the study recruited 305 children, aged from 5 to 7 years, from 3
primary schools in Shanghai. As a pre-screening, the children were tested on
the aggression sub-scale of Child Behavior Checklist Parent’s Report Form
(CBCL-PRF). After taking the test, 21 children were identified as highly aggressive,
and one of them declined to receive the intervention. In the final
sample, there were 16 boys and 4 girls, and the average age was 6.6 years
(SD = 0.5 years).
