Israeli law also provides for sanctions for employers who
violate the law on minimum wage and hours of work and rest. According to Israel’s
minimum wage law, employers who do not pay their employees the minimum wage
“will be liable to 6 months imprisonment.”[63] Employers who violate the Hours of Work and Rest Law (which also regulates
overtime pay) can face a fine or a prison term of up to one month.
