Wide genetic and phenotypic variations of sesame crop and its adaptability to many soils and climatic conditions created serious discripancies on its suitable intra row spacing and its optimum plant populations for good yield of the crop (Adebisi 2004), Serious discripancies among researchers on suitable intra row spacing for optimum growth and yield of sesame were earlier reported by (Adeyemo et al.,1992; Olowe and Busari 1996; Bonsu (2003) and Delgado and Yarmanos (1975).
