I Bike I Walk Club and WPTL CSR Club are invited you to participate “The Clean Trip 17th”, 18th - 26th October 2014 (Clean Trip is bicycle trip without alcohol and tobacco as promoted by Thai Health Promotion Foundation, in Thai (สสส) and run by the non-profit organization named Thailand Cycling Club, TCC).
The purpose of this trip is to raise funds for Thot Kathin(*) ceremonies to build the main Pagoda at Wat Pa-Tha-Sud (Tha-Sud Forest Temple) , Mae-Tang district, Chiang Mai Province to locate the Buddha Relics found from ancient pagoda.
Full loaded Bicycle Touring Trip with total distance is approximately 650 km form Lopburi Province to Chiang Mai Province as present in below map. We expect more than 500 cyclists & villages from walking & cycling networks from Lopburi to Chiang Mai will participate and pre-event will be roll-out through I Bike I Walk network from all part of Thailand.
In additional to the long distance cycling trip to raise the fund for Thot Kathin Ceremonies, Thailand Cycling Club (TCC) also organize the “Bicycle Fix Project” or in Thai “อาสาสอน อาสาซ่อม” for children and villages who live around Wat-Pa-Tha-Sud (Tha-Sud Forest Temple) on 24th October 2014. Idea of this project is to train all children and villages to fix the problem for their bicycle also “hand-on work” by cyclists to fix the damage bicycle to allow all can be used again (This class if fun and lovely with smile faces from children!!).
One channel to be a part of this charity by donates money for Thot Kathin Ceremonies or Bicycle Fix Project. Cycling team also produces a nice T-shirt (299THB/each) and everyone can buy. Money from selling T-Shirt will be donated to Wat-Pha-Tha-Sud for Thot Kathin Ceremonies.
