We must point out that with a similar iteration strategy the process will oscillate around the effort-fair points and the
size of this fluctuation interval depends on β. That is, a small value of β yields smaller fluctuation interval but with lower
speed of convergence, and a large value of β yields higher speed of convergence but larger fluctuation interval. To overcome
this problem we can adopt a variable β, i.e., a value of β that is function of s and of the stability of the convergence process.
We empirically, derive a suitable updating strategy for the values of β.
