It can be observed that air velocity
and temperature had significant effects (p < 0.05) on cracking
of soybean kernels. Comparing F-values of the air velocity and
temperature showed that the effect of air velocity on cracking
was higher (high F-value) than that of temperature (low
F-value). Multiple regression analysis showed that there is a
linear relationship between cracking percentage and the
independent variables of air velocity (u, m/s) and temperature
(T, ?C) as follows
