This Perceptual Map was created by Group 4 to show GM’s 8 brands in comparison to Honda and Toyota. Price and quality were chosen for the axes because we felt those two aspects were most important to consumers. Notice how some GM brands are grouped together such as Pontiac/Saturn and GMC/Buick. In this market it is hard enough to compete with other manufactures such as Honda and Toyota. So, why would GM develop brands that compete with one another?
