Our results for PHB yields were respectively
0.267 g/g and 0.232 g/g for OPEFB hydrolysates containing 45 g/L
and 60 g/L sugar, corroborating quite well with the reported data
(0.2–0.4 g/g), though the highest, 0.39 g/g, was reported by Silva
et al. (2004) from sugarcane bagasse using B. cepacia IPT 048PHB,
a natural xylose-utilizing and PHB-accumulating bacterium.
