From the experiment, observed colony and cell morhophology shown sample 1 is the colonies are small size and convex and sample 2 is colonies with a regular margin and flat elevation. When compare with B.cereus and B. subtilis shown sample 1 may be Bacillus in other strain but sample 2 may be B.subtilis. But biochemical test showed sample 1 and 2 may be Bacillus cereus because from test by biochemical is similar with Bacillus cereus. For example test by egg yolk reaction test is the microbe produces pink-red colonies in egg yolk agar with a zone of precipitate around the colonies, indicating lecithinase-positive activity, and this microbe is negative for the nitrate test. Addition of sulfanilic acid and drop of naphthylamine to the test tube after adding reagents results in a weak red color, etc. In conclusion, all the sample may be Bacillus cereus which contaminate in pickled fish.
