Displays can sometimes be placed ir1 a window, lobby, or other area frequented by the public, with good effect. To arouse interest in a lecture series on “How to Buy 8 House," for instance, models of various types of houses were obtained from a real-estate company and set on tables in the lobby of the sponsoring institution. Descriptive folders were placed on the table with the display.
Exhibits of work done by present participants in such activities as arts and crafts, painting, sewing, and photography not only arouse the interest of the spectators, but help to give them the feeling that maybe they can do it, too.
