In the EORTC QLQ-C30 symptom scales, high scores were
observed in fatigue, dyspnea, pain, loss of appetite, and constipation,
which indicates high intensity of symptoms. Deterioration
(time of QOL assessment) in fatigue, pain, dyspnea, and
loss of appetite was observed, while nausea and vomiting
improved (Table 5). Dyspnea (time of QOL assessment and the
interaction of patient group with time of QOL assessment) was
less intense in the PCU patients, while diarrhea (interaction of patient group and time of QOL assessment) was less intense at
the PCU, although the P value (.07) was near significance
(Table 6)
