In this work, experimental data from Pratama et al. [4]were chosen to validate the proposed numerical methodology. In [4], high speed images and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique were used to visualize cavitation and flow in simplified, two-dimensional nozzle configurations, aimed at reproducing multi-hole, mini sac nozzles as it is illustrated in Figure 1. Different layouts of the sac were tested by changing the main dimensions and the needle lift. In Figure 2 a schematic picture of experimental setup used in [4] is reported.
