For analyzing the shoot dry matter production and shoot
mineral concentrations in developing plants, two plants
were harvested at anthesis (81 DAS) from each pot in
the second set by cutting them off at the soil level. The
remaining five plants were harvested at maturity.
Harvested shoots were dried for 2 days at 65 °C,
weighed and analyzed for mineral nutrient concentrations
as described in BDigestion and mineral analyses^.
