The district of Pasir Mas covers an area of 577 square kilometers and is bordered by the districts of Tumpat to the north, Tanah Merah to the south, Kota Bharu to the east, and the Thai district of Su-ngai Kolok to the west.
PMHP is envisaged to become the food center for this region supported by an abundant supply of raw materials from this region and Thailand. PMHP will focus on producing high value-add halal products such as nutraceuticals /herbs, sauces, snacks, agro-based products, spices and meat products.

The way forward of project is to effective and continuous engagement and co-operation between Thailand Business Communities (TBC), local Malaysian entrepreneurs and governments is needed to ensure the needs of the investors from Southern Thailand are addressed to ensure successful investment, promote HALAL certification and logo from PMHP among business communities in Southern Thailand as an important value proposition because Malaysia’s HALAL is internationally recognized and accepted worldwide.
