20% bagasse ash in sorted wastes and 20% coal ash in both sorted
and unsorted wastes favoured higher peak temperatures above
55 C for at least 3 days. This was attributed to the moisture
retention property and high heat capacity of ashes. Setup D
exhibited the highest peak temperature (62 C) and number of days
above 55 C (4 days) which led to a highest net VS change (68.6%)
and volume reduction (66.1%). Compost D, F, G and I were deemed
suitable for crop application based on temperature attained and
