1. Purpose
The purpose of this procedure is to prevent delivery of nonconforming products to customers
and use of nonconforming products that do not satisfy customers' needs or standardized requirements.
2. Scope
This procedure is applied to test, examination, seperation, evaluation, and process of raw materials,
in-process products, and final products that do not conform to specific requirements.
3. Terms and Definitions
1) Nonconforming products
In-process products or final products that do not satisfy customer requirements or that is predicted
not to satisfy customer requirements.
2) Re-work
Redo a specified work process in order to meet the requirement for nonconforming products.
3) Evaluation
Examine characteristics or sign of nonconforming products by a device or by a sensory test.
4) Disposal
Disposal or incineration of nonconforming products whose defects are too serious
to be reworked or reapproved.
5) Concession
Written authorization to use raw materials or products that do not conform to the standards
but do not affect quality of products.
6) Specified requirements
Quality requirements that are specified in quality standards, work standards, and control document
for quality system.
4. Responsibility and Authority
1) Management representative (M.D;Managing Director)
(1) is responsible for approval of handling of nonconforming products.
2) Head of Quality Department
(1) is responsible for identifying and controlling of nonconforming products in each stage of
incoming, process, test for release, and examination.
(2) is responsible for reporting nonconformities to a related company and to a related department,
for requesting corrective and preventive actions to be taken, and for verifying the results of corrective
and preventive actions.
(3) is responsible for identifying, marking, and controlling nonconforming products that are returned
due to customer complaints.
