A fight over a taxi broke out last night between a mainland tourist and Japanese man at a taxi stand near Causeway Bay in Hong Kong, drawing large crowds who gathered to watch the two combatants.
According to Sina, a witness, surnamed He, said that the Chinese man was initially waiting for a taxi with other three friends, including one female. As the group were preparing to get into a taxi which had just pulled up, a Japanese man with his wife and child cut the queue and tried to get into the taxi.
Irritated, the Chinese man began to yell at the Japanese man. A fight soon ensured. Friends of the Chinese man tried to break the two up but to no avail.
After six or seven minutes, the two stopped fighting and finally were arrested by the local police for causing a disturbance. It's reported that while being arrested, the Japanese man required medical treatment for injuries to his neck and hands.
