A highly toxic heavy metal that causes severe kidney damage and skin disorders. Cadmium has a half-life in the human body of around 30 years. Interestingly, Cadmium is actually craved by many people, as it causes a toughening of both the personality and body physiology (especially the cardiovascular system). Cadmium is often found in COFFEE & products harvested from the ocean. But also found in Cigarettes; Fertilizers; Water pipes; Soft drink dispensers; Coal burning; Refined foods. It is also used in many products made in China. Exposure to this environmental toxin comes almost exclusively through dietary sources and tobacco smoke, largely due to its presence as a major contaminate in phosphate fertilizers.
