Interior surfaces of basins and sump pits shall be waterproofing coated. Beams, columns, and walls in contact with water or in splash zone shall also be waterproofing coated. 2A.2.8 Structure for CT/ CWP Electrical Equipment Electrical equipment for CT/CWP system shall be housed in a container or in a building. The building or container shall be located according to the Contractor’s proposal. Equipment layout and arrangement shall meet electrical as well as control and instrument requirement. Adequate space shall be provided inside building or container for maintenance purpose. The general arrangement requirement for Structure for CT/ CVVP Electrical Equipment shall comprise of the Control Panel Room and Electrical Panel Room. Each area shall be separated by compartment or wall. Floor finishing of the Control Panel Room shall be anti-static floor tile. Fire barriers consisting of interior walls, ceilings, floors, doors and windows with a minimum of 2-hour fire rating shall be provided to LV Switchgear Area, and DCIS Cabinet Area. All openings and penetrations through fire barriers such as doors, windows, piping, raceway, and ducts shall also be designed according to required fire ratings. Doors shall be provided for access and equipment removal. Louvers shall be located in the walls as required by the HVAC system. Platform with sufficient width for equipment loading and unloading including removable handrail shall be provided. Emergency exit door shall be provided per requirement stipulated in relevant laws enforced in Thailand. Minimum of 2 fire escape stairways on the opposite direction of the building or container shall be provided. In case of container, the size and construction shall be selected by the Contractor and shall be suitable for relocation according to EGAT’s request. 2A.2.9 Circulating Water Chlorination Building The building shall be a single-story reinforced concrete structure with masom'y walls. Roof of the buildings shall be insulated metal sheet with non-perforated metal liner. Single-leaf and double-leaf doors with removable transoms shall be required for access and equipment removal. The building shall be designed to meet mechanical system requirements and shall be composed of Control Equipment Room, Electrical Room, Electro Chlorination System Room, and Sodium Chloride Storage area, etc. The Sodimn Chloride Storage Area shall be designed in such a way that truck can pass through and unloading inside the building. Chemical sump pit shall be provided to collect washed water from cleaning process prior to being discharged to neutralization basin. A structural steel monorail and electric operated equipment hoist and trolley shall be provided for material handling in the Sodium Chloride Storage Area. Storage Tank shall also be provided meeting mechanical requirement. Louvers shall be located as required by the HVAC system design criteria mentioned in Section 1D.2.7, Volume 2. Volume 2 Page 2A-l 8
