Job control was positively related to role breadth self-efficacy. The positive indirect relationbetween job control and proactive behavior via role breadth self-efficacy was significant (indirecteffect=0.221,p<.001, 95% CI [0.102, 0.339] for the measured scale scores; indirect effect=0.222,p<.001, 95% CI [0.104, 0.339] for the residualized data), supporting H2c. In addition, wefound a significant direct positive relation between job control and proactive behavior indicatingthat role breadth self-efficacy partially mediated the relation between job control and supervisor-rated proactive behavior.Sonnentag
