3. Results and discussion
3.1. Effect of treatments on fruit quality attributes during storage
3.1.1. Physical appearance
Appearance of fruit at the time of harvest (Treated with hexanal
formulation- A; Control- D) and during cold storage is shown in
Fig. 1. After two weeks (B) and four weeks (C) of storage, treated
fruit remained green and did not show signs of damage. By
contrast, the control fruit had already become overripe within two
weeks of storage (E) and inedible (F).
