The EtOAc extract from the leaves of N. tabacum was isolated by column chromatographic techniques to give six compounds including three new flavones; tabaflavones A-C, (1-3), and three known flavones. All isolated compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques such as IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR. The best results, tabaflavone A showed moderate TMV infection inhibition activity with inhibition rate of 29.2%. In addition, compounds 2-5 displayed the inhibition rate ranging from 14.2 to 20.8% for same activity.
