2.5. Influence of hydrostatic pressure on carcasses water uptake
A cylindrical tank 1.645m long and 0.535m of diameter was used to study the influence of hydrostatic pressure on the
carcasses water uptake.
For that, two metallic supports were used to keep samples immersed at different vertical positions, with water at 15 ◦C.
The vertical positions from the water surface were 0.180m (level 1), 0.845m (level 2) and 1.470m (level 3)
