In another study, a similar steviol glycoside yield was
obtained when comparing SFE and conventional water
extraction, concluding that SFE can be an alternative technique
to conventional solvent extraction mainly due to the reduction
extraction time of steviol glycosides.72 The optimized
conditions through this work were used later to obtain
glycosides from Stevia leaves, then the raffinate was used to
produce bioethanol. The operational conditions applied were
211 bar pressure, 80 °C temperature, 17.4% cosolvent, and a
solvent/feed ratio of 30.
