Sleep
Many people who are under high levels of stress notice that an
obvious sign is a disturbed pattern of sleep.
The disturbance can be in different ways:
• Inability to sleep
• Waking up during the night and not being able to go back to sleep
• Waking up every one or two hours throughout the night
If sleep is interrupted, it may not correct itself automatically.
There are a number of steps to restore it to its usual pattern:
1. An attempt should be made to identify the cause.
2. Do not change your sleeping “ritual”, but rather maintain it.
3. If it looks like you are not going to fall asleep, then get up
and do something to take your mind off the problem.
