5.1.1.2. Method B (Microwave Irradiation Process).
The micro- wave-assisted reactions were conducted on a single-mode Discover System from CEM Corporation. To an oven-dried standard microwave reaction vial (capacity 10 mL) equipped with a stirring bar was added AuCN (0.05 mmol, 0.05 equiv, 11.0 mg), Bu3P(0.25 mmol, 0.25 equiv, 61.7 lL), aldehyde (1 mmol, 1 equiv), alkyne (3 mmol, 3 equiv) and 1 mL of freshly distilled toluene. The reaction vial was then sealed with a Teflon septum cap, and the sample was subjected to microwave irradiation at a power of 200 W for 10 min (hold time) at 200 °C. After being cooled down, the vial was opened, and the crude mixture was loaded directly on silica gel and was purified by Medium Performance Liquid Chromatography eluding with an ethyl acetate/hexanes gradient to afford the desired products.
