as is the case in †Coccolepis bucklandi
(Schultze, 1966). Also resembling this latter taxon,
the scales in †Condorlepis bear numerous sharp,
pointed denticles, but they are not arranged in rows
like in the European species. The lateral line is
enclosed in a well-ossified duct contained in normal
body scales up to the base of the body lobe,
where it is contained in small tubular scales and
bends sharply following the bases of the caudal fin
rays.
