One person was killed and eight were injured in an early morning apartment complex shooting in Connecticut Thursday, police said.
Multiple gunmen began firing at a group of people hanging out in the parking lot of the Trumbull Gardens affordable housing complex in Bridgeport at 1 a.m., police told Fox Connecticut. The shooters fled on foot, police said.
Six men and three women were injured, including an 80-year-old woman who was hit in the back by a stray bullet while taking a bath, NBC Connecticut reported.
The victims were transported to either St. Vincent's or Bridgeport Hospital, and one of the men died at St. Vincent's.
The condition of the other victims is not yet known, and their names have not yet been released.
Police are now hunting for the gunmen and said they have multiple leads.
