Pupil Investigations (may include the following processes):
1. Listening to the ticking sounds that reach the ear
2. Inferring (incorrectly) that the event proves that sounds travel through the water
3. Experimenting to find out if the sounds can be heard with an empty fish tank
4. Devising a procedure to prove that sounds travel through the water
5. Controlling variables (Plug your other ear with a finger to keep sounds from reaching you through the air.)
