For ANB, I want to know what is happening, are they going to buy from us again? If you think we need to keep the price the same as this year, I will; if not, same price as GHP. Their volume will be just 3 FCL/year, won’t it?
With the new stand-alone plant where we have to pay now a higher price for the Soda Ash and the CO2 in order to make the plant more reliable, and the new warehouse further away from our plant, our costs have increased considerably. During this year we have tried to reduce the prices in the market, especially for new potential opportunities that we have been quoting for, or keep the prices stable from 2014 in order to increase our sales and volume into Thailand, but the volume hasn’t increased and therefore I am afraid that I would need to increase the price to recover some of the additional costs.
As you can see, I have given GHP and ANB a lower increase, especially to ANB who should have had a bigger increase this year after having only $1/T increase last year and having a lower volume than GHP. However, I appreciate the problems ANB has had with our product this year and didn’t want to push my luck or make your job more difficult. Still, I have no idea if ANB will order again from us and I would appreciate if you could please visit the customer and find out what shall we expect from them in the future. What have they done for product this year whilst they couldn’t use our product?
Also, regarding Powder Fine Food grade for your distribution, can you please advise the situation here and the volume you would expect to take from us in 2016? I understand the market for Food is now more competitive than ever with the Solvay plant in Thailand already starting (although I believe they might not be producing Food grade yet). Please advise volume/price required (for which confirmed volume) and I will consider if there is something here we can do to help you recover the market.
Please note the correct name for each product and amend it in your system/orders. This is important and no orders will be processed in the future until the correct name is stated to avoid confusions in the future should someone else be covering for Paula or me.
I look forward to your feedback on the above.
Thank you in advance and Best Regards,
