Naruto ‘matures’ in the movie a lot so he is not as reckless anymore and has learnt how to play a ‘supporting’ role as well. There’s a part of me that doesn’t want him to be so mature like that lest he become a totally different person. However he still gets scolded by Sakura-chan and Shikamaru (laughs) in the movie so that part hasn’t changed. I like that Naruto hasn’t completely changed into an adult that feels out of reach, someone who is too admirable to relate to.
I felt the Naruto in Chapter 700 was like a different person so I guess in the movie he still hasn’t matured THAT much yet. Although I don’t know how to feel about Sakura and Shikamaru scolding Naruto. On one hand it’s like saying to NaruSaku fans hey! they’re still friends! But on the otherhand NaruSaku interaction is just gonna be reduced to comedy relief.
I’m happy Junko-san still calls Sakura, Sakura-chan! I guess a habit of calling her Sakura-chan as Naruto for 12 years doesn’t change so easily! I wish Naruto would never stop calling Sakura, Sakura-chan but that’s probably gonna be difficult what with the kids and their separate families and all … *sigh*
