they are non-toxic, biodegradable and having good emulsifying and antioxigenic properties,

guar gum derivatives under heterogeneous
reaction conditions.Reaction procedure
involves reaction between guar hydroxyl
groups and palmitoyl chloride (Scheme:6) in
toluene and pyridine as initiator. Modified gum
was characterized by FTIR, XRD and
TGA/DTA techniques. Degree of substitution
was determined by saponification method.
