With these three significant influences demonstrating key differences
between Greek and non-Greek students, it is safe to reject the null-hypothesis.
Greek and non-Greek students experience different influences to study abroad.
Barriers—Hypothesis Three
H3: Greek and non-Greek students do experience different barriers that
create challenges in education-abroad trips.
HO3: Greek and non-Greek students do not experience different barriers
that create challenges in education-abroad trips.
Within the survey tool developed for this study, there were eight questions
asked regarding the difference in barriers to study abroad for Greek and non-Greek
affiliated students.
After examining the values for all eight questions after the application of the
Holm-Bonferroni procedure, none of the eight questions demonstrated any
significance. Thus, there were no significant observable difference in the barriers to
study abroad that exist between Greek and non-Greek students.
With no significant difference between means for any of the questions
regarding “barriers,” the researcher chose to retain the null-hypothesis for subquestion
three.
Benefits—Hypothesis Four
H4: The benefits and lessons of education abroad are different for Greek
and non-Greek students.
