Risk Management has become widespread among many industries but particularly high hazard industries. The risk management approach to all business activities is widely accepted as the most appropriate model to effectively manage process risk. Decisions that may affect many lives are made on the basis of assessed risks. To be able to manage risk effectively, decision makers, designers, plant operating and maintenance personnel, and safety professionals must have a fundamental and good understanding of risk and the techniques used to assess it, both qualitatively and quantitatively. How do you assess risk within your organization? How is that risk communicated to the people it affects most?
This workshop uses a variety of activities including videos, slides, incident analysis, group discussions, and small group activities. The course is designed to maximize participants’ training and is interactive and participative in nature with much of the time spent in small groups practicing the skills and techniques.
