Singapore: Thailand aim to continue their perfect record when they meet Myanmar in their last group game of the Suzuki Cup tonight.
Coach Kiatisak Senamuang's men have qualified for the semi-finals with wins against hosts Singapore and Malaysia in Group B.
However, Kiatisak said yesterday he wanted three wins to top the group.
"Although we have qualified for the semi-finals, we will try to get the maximum nine points," he said.
Kiatisak said he would make several changes to the line-up with fringe players like goalkeeper Chanin Sae-eia, midfielder Adul Lasoh and forward Sompong Soleb set to start.
"It will not be easy against Myanmar but we want to win," he said.
"We want to give chances to players who did not play in the first two matches. But it will still be a strong team."
Myanmar, with one point, can still qualify for the semi-finals of the biennial Asean championship.
Singapore (four points) take on Malaysia (one) in tonight's other Group B game.
Myanmar coach Radojko Avramovic said: "Thailand are strong and my players must believe they can compete against Thailand.
"It will be an exciting game for us and we are looking forward to the match. We can still qualify for the semi-finals but it will be difficult.
"Asean football has improved a lot. I think we are all trying to chase Thailand and Vietnam. At the beginning, Singapore was the team to beat but now I think Thailand and Vietnam are the best in Asean.''
Thailand have won the Asean title three times — the last in 2002, with Kiatisak a player in all the three title-winning teams.
The Thais lost to Singapore in the previous final as the Lions claimed a record fourth crown.
In Hanoi, hosts Vietnam beat the Philippines 3-1 and Indonesia hammered Laos 5-1 in the last Group A matches yesterday.
Group A winners Vietnam and runners-up the Philippines advanced to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals will be played over two legs on Dec 6-7 and Dec 10-11. The two-legged final is scheduled for Dec 17 and 20.
The biennial tournament began in 1996.
