Fig. 2 shows the pectinase activity (2 scouring pad cubes, inocu-lums size of 1 × 106spores/mL and agitated at 150 rpm) increased gradually and achieved the maximal production of 4.08 U/mL onthe 6 days of cultivation. The enzyme production dropped drasti-cally thereafter. On the other hand, the fungal growth increased gradually and achieved 6.08 g/L on day 6 and 6.91 g/L on day 10 of cultivation. There were no significant different (Duncan, p > 0.05) of pectinase amount produced on day 6 and 8 of cultivation. However,day 6 gave the highest yield of pectinase.
