Dear Registrant,

We wish to thank you again for registering for our 2015 Manila Rotary Institute scheduled on November 6 to 8, 2015 at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.

Please make sure that you have already booked your hotel room at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila by now, and already have your hotel confirmation. If you have not done so, you can book your hotel room through our website www.2015manilarotaryinstitute.org. We have blocked only 300 rooms at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila and I am afraid that these will all be taken in no time at all. Besides, our special room rates are only available up to September 30, 2015 or as soon as the rooms are all taken up.

I am also hoping that you have already secured your air tickets by now, If you have not yet booked your flights, please consider Philippine Airline, the official airline of our Institute. You can book online at www.philippineairlines.com or book through our website where the Philippine Airlines website is linked.

We are also providing free airport transfer from all of the four (4) NAIA terminals to Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila if your arrival is between 7:00am to 7:00pm but only for those who can give us your flight details on or before September 30, 2015. You can of course arrange directly with Sofitel your airport transfer, especially if y
ou are arriving earlier than 7:00am or arriving later than 7:00pm, but cost will be for your personal account.

For those with registered accompanying spouses, we have two (2) optional outdoor Spouse Program activities on Saturday, November 7, 2015, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, which your spouse can choose, namely:

Option 1 – Cultural Tour which includes tour of historic Intramuros, and visit to the National
Museum, or

Option 2 – Shopping Tour at the popular Greenhills Shopping Center

Both activities will include a sumptuous lunch. Kindly, therefore, let us know in advance (on or before September 30, 2015) so that we will know as to how many buses we need to prepare for each of these tours.

We also have an indoor Outreach Spouse Program activity on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 9:30am to 11:00am, where we will bring at least fifty (50) special children to interact with the interested Spouses. For this activity, we are encouraging the interested Spouses to bring small gifts for these special children.


We also have a total of fourteen (14) breakout sessions during the Institute. We are having seven (7) simultaneous sessions in the morning of November 7 from 10:40am to 12noon with the following Topics:

Session 2 – Ending Polio and its Aftermath (for Governors only)
Session 3 – Rotary’s Biggest Challenge: Membership Growth
Session 4 – Ending Polio and its Aftermath
Session 5 – How to Strengthen the Brand of Rotary
Session 6 – Rotary’s Biggest Challenge: Membership Growth (in Mandarin)
Session 7 – Ending Polio and its Aftermath (in Mandarin)

We likewise have another seven (7) simultaneous sessions in the afternoon of November 7 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm with the following Topics:

Session 1 – Ethics and Rotary’s 4-Way Test (for Governors only)
Session 2 – The Role of a Past District Governor in Rotary (for Governors only)
Session 3 – Ethics and the 4-Way Test
Session 4 – Understanding Rotary Central
Session 5 – Peace and Conflict Resolution: Rotary’s New Frontier
Session 6 – Ethics and the 4-Way Test (in Mandarin)
Session 7 – Understanding Rotary Central (in Mandarin)

We have decided to give to you the topics this early so that you can already decide as which sessions you will be attending, and also for us to determine the size of room we need to allocate for each of these sessions.
